The Team

Keith Walkman

I spent nearly 10 years as a Royal Marine Commando and was awarded The kings Badge which is given to the best Royal Marines recruit to finish training as part of the King’s Squad, the senior recruit troop in training. I spent most of my time at 40 Commando working all around the world in Jungles, The Arctic, Deserts and Mountains.
On leaving the Royal Marines in 2001 I gained a diploma in Personal Training and have worked in the fitness industry ever since. I have specialised in outdoor fitness training and have years of experience.
"Delivering, varied, challenging and rewarding sessions is what BOF is all about. Having the ability to get the best out of someone and doing it with a smile is what I am all about. "

At the age of 30, turning my back on a successful career and pension plan, I had a traumatic midlife crisis and somehow ended up as a Royal Marines Commando (initially only at weekends). Shortly after I met Keith who helped me out with some work in the Outdoor Fitness Industry and the rest is history.
I have instructed Outdoor Fitness for over 15 years now and more recently have been involved mainly in fitness running adventures. Contrary to the belief of the masses I do not like running. I don’t go running. I go out for an adventure.
BOF is the perfect opportunity for me to meet incredible people and introduce them to the magic of the Downs, whether it is exploring the hidden trails or the magic of a Night Run.
